Suchitra Sarda has over 20 years of leadership experience in K-12, education consultancy, teacher coaching, and growing Compassionate Systems in schools. She has a master’s in International Education Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a post-graduate diploma in Business Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also a certified master practitioner for the Compassionate Systems Framework (Center for Systems Awareness at MIT) and has founded Compassionate Learning Communities (CLC), which supports the development of Compassionate Systems in schools. At UIC, Suchitra is work in the Social and Emotional Learning Lab with her advisor Dr Kimberly Schonert-Reichl. She is researching constructs such as compassion, mindfulness and prosocial behaviors in education for student well-being and flourishing.
