About
Dr. Ochoa-Galindo is an alumni from UIC having received her bachelor's degree in the Applied Psychology Program. Subsequently, she went on to earn a master’s degree in psychology with a counseling certificate at National Louis University and a doctorate in counseling psychology from Argosy University. She has a great deal of excellent undergraduate teaching experience, having taught at different quality liberal arts colleges and universities in the Chicago area including St. Xavier, Morton College, and National Louis. She also taught English as a Second Language at a university in Mexico for two years. Dr. Ochoa-Galindo is a licensed mental health clinician with over 15 years of experience providing individual, family, and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults both in outpatient and inpatient settings. She has experience working with mental illness, behavioral disorders, domestic violence, sexual assault, acculturation stress, and trauma.
