Psychology Professor Weissberg Named UIC Distinguished Professor

Department of Psychology Professor Roger Weissberg has been named a UIC Distinguished Professor for his continued impact on the field of psychology though his scholarship, creativity, and leadership. In addition to his work in the psychology department, Professor Weissberg serves as a professor of education and NoVo Foundation Chair in Social and Emotional Learning and the president of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), an international organization committed to making evidence-based social, emotional and academic learning an essential part of preschool through high school education.

In 2008, Professor Weissberg received the LAS Distinguished Professor title for his commitment to the College.
