Professor Bette Bottoms was recently interviewed on WGN TV discussing Past Life Regression Therapy.

Associate Professor Stewart Shankman has been invited to help lead a special NIMH Council Workgroup on Tasks and Measures for RDoC.

The workgroup will have the dual purposes of (1) developing consensus and providing advice to NIMH regarding tasks, paradigms, and measures (tests for short) for RDoC constructs and (2) identifying those constructs for which test development is needed. The goal is to provide a list of tests that have been reviewed with regard to construct validity and psychometrics and suitability for use across diverse participants, and can serve as recommended common data elements to facilitate data sharing in the RDoC database.

Congratulations to Assistant Professors Kristine Molina and Matt Motyl, whose research and productivity is being recognized by a 2015 Association for Psychological Science Rising Star Awards. The Rising Star designation recognizes outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.

Congratulations to Social & Personality student Ryan Leach ??for winning the 2015 Provost/Deiss Research Award. The Graduate Colleges longest-running support for research by graduate students at UIC is the Provosts Award for Graduate Research and the W.C. and May Preble Deiss Fund for Biomedical Research Award; which are collectively called the Provost/Deiss Award. The Provost's Award is open to all graduate students currently enrolled at UIC and the Deiss Fund is for graduate students engaged in research in clinical or basic medical sciences.
