About
Briahna Yuodsnukis (she/her), PhD, is a Queer, generation 2.5 immigrant, multi-ethnic clinical psychologist. She received her PhD in clinical psychology with an emphasis in LGBTQ+ psychology from Palo Alto University. She completed her internship at the Medical College of Georgia/Charlie Norwood VA – Trauma Track and her pediatric fellowship at Lurie Children’s Gender & Sex Development Program. Her clinical training has broadly focused on specialized clinical care for LGBTQ+ folks from a trauma-informed perspective, primarily in healthcare settings with an interdisciplinary team approach. She works from a cognitive behavioral approach with special interests in trauma, disordered eating, and anxiety disorders. Much of her work emphasizes the impact of minority stress on mental, social, and physical well-being.
Her research has focused on understanding minority stress among transgender and intersex populations. Her most recent research projects included adapting the minority stress model to intersex folks/folks with differences of sex development (IDSD), exploring experiences of sexual victimization among IDSD, and examining disordered eating among trans and gender diverse youth and young adults. She also has a special interest in promoting sexual well-being and sexual health among LGBTQ+ folks and folks with IDSD.
Dr. Yuodsnukis provides supervision and mentorship to all students in the program. She does not have an ongoing research lab; thus, she does not accept graduate students into the program.
